The Board of Directors of SMPC is pleased to announce that the Company has extended its existing ESOS which is expiring on 18 October 2015 for another seven (7) years until 18 October 2022.  This is in accordance with the terms of the ESOS Bye-Laws.  The ESOS extension is not subject to any approval from Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, Securities Commission and the Shareholders of the Company.

The ESOS extension will give the eligible employees of the Company and of the Group additional time to exercise their options and to participate in the performance of the Company.

The appropriate notices on the extension will be served on the eligible employees of the Company and of the Group in due course.
