The Board of Directors of ATTA Global Group Berhad ("ATTA" or "Company") wishes to announce that the Company has on 13 January 2021 received a notice in writing pursuant to Section 281(1) of the Companies Act 2016 from Messrs Grant Thornton on their resignation as Auditors of the Company in conjunction with the merger of their practice with Messrs Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT.

Pursuant to Section 281(2) of the Companies Act 2016, Messrs Grant Thornton’s terms of office will end after twenty-one (21) days from 13 January 2021.

The Board wishes to inform that: -

1.  the resignation of Messrs Grant Thornton as the Auditors of the Company is due to the merger of their practice with Messrs Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT with effective from 1 January 2021 in order to streamline the national audit practice in Malaysia under the name of Messrs Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT; and

2.  the Company is not aware of any matter that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.

Pursuant to Section 271(2)(b) of the Companies Act 2016, the Board of Directors of ATTA has on 13 January 2021 appointed Messrs Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT (AF:0737), who has given their consented to act as Auditors of the Company, to fill the vacancy in the office of the auditors arising from the resignation of Messrs Grant Thornton.
